It was a great success. We had lectures, cooking demonstrations and even a Foray in the local woods. I bought a log innaculated with Shiitake Mushrooms. Cannot wait to watch them grow and enjoy the delicious "meaty texture and woodsy flavors."
Tonight, the Maryland Mycology Association is having a mushroom tasting event at the Connecticut Avenue Library in Chevy Chase from 7-9 PM. Non members are welcome, as long as they become members. Give it a try.
The front landscaping looks great and lush.
We are planning the public grand Open House for October 18th, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The Broker Open will take place October 20th, 11:30 am to 2:00 pm.

I just got back from the Maryland Associatlots of of Realtors (MAR) Conference where we learned SO MUCH! We also learned about the latest rental scam...Lo and behold I just get home and get a call with such an example!
The scammer gets listing information about a rental, posts it on Craigslist at a reduced price and if the renter is not savvy, he will contact the fake owner of the rental and pay them for a rental he will never get!!!
Craigslist removed that posting, but not before a prospective renter called me and my office thinking that we know anything about this. I explained it to the prospective tenant and suggested to work with a real estate agent in her community who would not fall for such scams.
